DayForge ("the app," "we," "our," or "us") is built by Daniyal (daniyali7). We take your privacy
seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.
By using DayForge you agree to the practices described here.
1. Data We Collect
Stored locally on your device
- Habit data — names, emoji, colors, and reminder times for habits you create.
- Completion records — dates on which you marked a habit complete.
- Streak & freeze data — current streak, best streak, and streak-freeze events.
- Badge history — badges you have earned and when.
- App settings — your preferences (theme, notifications, etc.).
- Display name — the first name you enter during onboarding (stored locally only).
All of the above is stored in a local SQLite database on your device.
It never leaves your device unless you create an account and enable cloud sync.
Collected if you create an account (optional)
- Email address — used to identify your account and enable cloud sync via Supabase.
- Synced habit & completion data — a copy of your local data stored in our Supabase database to enable multi-device access and backup.
Collected automatically (anonymised)
- Usage events — anonymised product analytics via PostHog (e.g. which screens are visited, feature usage frequency). No personally identifiable information is sent. You can opt out in Settings.
- Crash reports — anonymous stack traces via Sentry to help us diagnose and fix bugs.
- Subscription status — RevenueCat links your in-app purchase status to your Apple ID to verify active subscriptions. We do not store or access your payment card details.
- Push notification token — a device token used to deliver local reminder notifications. Stored locally and, if you have an account, in Supabase to support future cross-device notifications.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To operate core app features — streaks, habit tracking, badges, and reminders.
- To sync your data across devices if you have signed in to an account.
- To process and verify subscription purchases via RevenueCat.
- To improve the app using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs using anonymised error reports.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Data Retention
Local data is retained on your device until you delete it via the in-app
"Delete All Data" option in Settings, or until you uninstall the app.
Account data (if you created an account) is retained in Supabase until you
delete your account. You can delete your account from within the app in Settings → Account.
Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
Analytics data is retained by PostHog in aggregated form for up to 12 months.
Because it is anonymised, individual deletion is not possible once transmitted.
Crash reports are retained by Sentry for 90 days.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data. You can also do this directly in-app at any time.
- Opt-out of analytics — disable PostHog analytics in Settings at any time.
- Portability — export your habit data as CSV from Settings (Pro feature).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
6. Children's Privacy
DayForge is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information,
please contact us so we can delete it.
7. Data Security
Local data is secured by your device's built-in protections (iOS file-system encryption and
app sandboxing). Account data transmitted to Supabase uses TLS in transit and is encrypted at
rest. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective
date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app notice.
Continued use of DayForge after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
